LECTURES
Week 1: Skeletal Studies & Sculpt Basics
Figure 1.2 | 1st try-out Skull (6/4/2023)
Week 2: Skull Studies & Sculpt
Figure 1.4 | Skull Sculpting (13/4/2023)
Figure 1.5 | Basic Sculpting with Shapes, Anatomy (13/4/2023)
We learned about skeleton(skull) structure and tried to sculpt the skull with Zbrush based on skull studies. And we tried out to make a skeletal structure with basic shapes by ZBrush.
Week 3: Head Studies & Sculpt
Figure 1.6 | Head Studies (20/4/2023)
Figure 1.8 | Head Sculpting_Side (20/4/2023)
This week, we learned about the head in detail. We studied deeply the balance and proportion of everything in the head, and based on that, we used basic shapes to sculpt the head using various tools in ZBrush. This was an important exercise for our next project.
Week 4: Muscle Studies & Sculpt and Posture Blockout
Figure 1.14 | Posture Blockout (27/4/2023)
We studied how to block out each posture and muscle anatomy this week. We are supposed to sculpt muscle and I tried to sculpt man's muscle anatomy based on the studies. We are taught how to sculpt muscles with a basic 'A' pose.
Week 5: Public Holiday
There was no class but Mr. Kannan Shared lecture videos about anatomy.
Week 6: Hands and Feet Studies & Sculpt
Figure 1.15 | Hand Studies (11/5/2023)
Figure 1.17 | Feet Sculpting (11/5/2023)
Figure 1.18 | Hand Sculpting (11/5/2023)
We are taught how to sculpt hands with ZBrush tools. We could use Zsphere or merge basic shapes for hands and feet. We learned hand and feet anatomy this week as well during the lecture.
INSTRUCTIONS
Exercises: Fundamentals of Anatomy and Digital Sculpting
We are supposed to study and sketch the human anatomy structures and sculpt them for this assignment. We need to submit outputs(digital drawings and sculpting for exercises) and demonstrate our understanding of anatomy:
1. Skeletal Studies (Human)
2. Head Studies (Sketch and Sculpt)
3. Muscle Studies (Sketch and Sculpt)
4. Hands (Sketch and Sculpt)
5. Feet (Sketch and Sculpt)
6. Facial Expression (Sketch and Sculpt)
7. Posture (Blockout)
I proceed with the exercises referred to the samples or visual references from Google or Pinterest. The process of exercises is mentioned and demonstrated in the 'Lecture' above. Except for lectures, I additionally studied facial expressions and tried sculpting.

FEEDBACK
Week 4: Muscles should be visible when we are sculpting. Mr. Kannan made a suggestion me to study again for man anatomy and muscle structure referring to the lecture materials(references) and improve it.
REFLECTION
Because it was my first time studying anatomy, all the classes I first encountered were very difficult for me. The ZBrush app and 3D modeling itself were very challenging modules for me, so I had to spend more time and effort than others at first. Especially, I had to study muscles and study the skeleton system almost every day so that I wouldn't forget it because I didn't know any information. Given the first variety of tasks, I was overburdened, and those exercises were enough to stress me out. In the beginning, I was very anxious and anxious about whether I could pull off the assignment. However, as I practiced little by little every week, I got a little used to ZBrush, and as I tried to find reference materials and study separately while various studies, my skills gradually improved and I began to feel a little less anxious. I really spent a lot of time doing this project because I needed to get used to it a little bit more to work on my next project. This process gave me tiredness and stress, but I was also proud to do the weekly tasks because I was also interested in learning new things.
