LECTURES
Week 6: Research
This week, We needed to research the 12 SDG goals and Maybank's MyTIGER values. We should choose the topic that we want and compile our research into Google Slides to show evidence of my research process. Then, We compiled visual references based on our research.
Week 7: Progression Check
We showed our progress to the lecturer on project 2, the Illustration poster. I showed my ideas on Project 2 shortly and my research of my chosen 12 SDG goals.
Week 8: Independent Learning Week
It was an independent learning week. We should continue to design our MyTIGER Values poster to submit both the official competition and a project 2 submission. I started to do the remaining designs for this project this week.
Week 9: Self-directed
We continued working on project 2, MyTIGER Illustration Poster since there was no class. I used the time to finalize my poster design for submission this week.
INSTRUCTIONS
Project 2: Illustration poster - MyTIGER Values Art Competition 2023
Based on the art competition brief, we need to create a digital illustration poster using Adobe Illustrator. We need to choose 1 goal among the 12 sustainable development goals (SDGs) and based on our chosen topic, we need to create an illustration poster that interprets our project aim through Maybank TIGER core values of Teamwork, Integrity, Growth, Excellence & Efficiency and Relationship Building.

During the research, I searched what is SDG goals and Maybank's MyTIGER Values. And I decided to choose life below the water while I research that goal because it can give a deep impression to design a poster.
My tagline of an illustration poster is 'You and I, We save ourselves not to hurt the earth.'. This is my palette color mood board and visual references to refer to my own illustration poster.

Then I used a pen tool to redraw my idea sketch in Adobe Illustrator. I used the color in harmony that I set up for the color palette as well.

Explanation/RationaleThe title of my illustration poster is 'Breath into a dying life'. This is an illustration work that led to the theme of 'Life Below Water', one of the 17 goals of sustainable development goals using Adobe Illustrator. What I'm trying to say in this work is that it was designed to make viewers refrain from using plastic by expressing underwater creatures that are dying from excessive plastic use. In this artwork, the tiger is a symbol of Maybank, the subject of this art competition, and in another sense, the tiger symbolically means immortality. Therefore, it is an illustration that means bringing life to dying creatures below water everywhere he passes through a sea full of plastics and pollution.
