REFLECTIONS

Experience
All the exercises, lectures, tasks, and assignments that I have done during the 14 weeks of learning this module were all new, very challenging, and interesting. My journeys throughout the semester were a series of learning, and sometimes they made me feel overwhelmed, and I became increasingly tired of unfamiliar terms and heavy workload. Finally, however, these made me learn various design principles and various processes and methods of design, which could be easily applied to various other tasks. The assignments and lecture contents given to us became more familiar with the overall understanding and application of typography, as well as the detailed requirements for typography, and were able to be applied in practice.

Observations
Through typography anatomy, I have been able to observe the details, characteristics, and rules necessary to complete the typography of characters, and I have been able to distinguish, observe, and analyze them, as I have encountered many fonts and typography as references. With observations, I became to analyze the regularity and irregularity of the typefaces and learned to observe the complex parts required for typography by subdividing them. Completing typography requires a lot of observation, analysis, and applications, and the observation and analysis gather to produce better quality work. I also found out that we had a variety of typography works in various media in our daily lives, and I enjoyed doing various analyses that could be found within the diversity of typography.

Findings
During the semester I learned about typography, I realized that the technical terms needed to complete a design, the technical tools I acquired, the requirements for typography, and the details were quite complicated. I also noticed that the complexity helps to improve the quality of a single typography design. They were not just simple tasks, but complex tasks with many rules and requirements. Before I knew about typography, I just thought that I could just design it in a way that was pretty and interesting. This was strictly my own thinking, and I tried to overcome the difficulties of completing the design technically by studying the structure of typography anatomies, and letterforms in detail.
